My second attempt at making a gif involved a slight movement of the hand. We tested two ways of make this gif. The first was to create a stop motion. So we took a series of photos which would capture the movement we wanted. However after we had done this and put it to edit we felt that it made the movement look jumpy and so instead we used the filmed footage we had captured instead of the stills. This created a smooth short clip which could be easily made into a gif. After editing the footage i wanted to make my gif different and stand out so i decided to enhance the colours so that you weren’t able to see my face in detail. I wanted to do this as i don’t like photos being taken of me. Therefore by increasing the colours on my gif it meant that you could only really see the outline of me and my features. Although this gif isn’t as clear as what some portrait images may be it is still a portrait as it features myself.
The reason I chose to enhance my gif with bright colours is because i feel it portrays my personality. this gif idea came from the image below which features a girl governing half of her face with one hand and the other hand revealing one eye. We felt this would be something quite easy to make into a gif the image below was our starting point for our first portrait gif.
